De Imitatione Christi

Hi ANF,

There are many emails piling up in my inbox that are waiting for me to read and respond to, but lately, it has become much more difficult for me to keep up. Due to worsening eyesight and the progression of macular degeneration, there are many things I am no longer able to do as I once did. Because of this, I may not be able to attend the prayer meeting this evening.

When I am unable to be present, I hope that you will make an even greater effort to gather together and spend more time in prayer. Building up the church is not the responsibility of just a few people; it is something that all of us must do together. As we build the church together, what is most important is that we help one another and cooperate with each other.

An essential part of this is simply showing up. By being present, we encourage one another. It is also a meaningful way to practice our priorities and cultivate faithfulness within ourselves.

Therefore, whenever there are gatherings at church—whether it is a prayer meeting, a worship service, or a time of serving together—I encourage you to show up and support one another. And when someone shares a message, posts a flyer, or makes an announcement in ANF chat or your HC chat, I hope you will not just passively see it, but actively respond, even with something as simple as a “like,” to show your support.

I pray that all of us may live lives that truly imitate Christ.

De Imitatione Christi,

Pastor Daniel
