Letters of Jesus Christ
2 Corinthians 3:3
Last week: How to grow in our faith? We must eat spiritual food in the Bible which bears witness to Jesus Christ. To be both hearers and doers of the Word.
What is the Bible, simply? The Word of God, His love letter to us. We know His heart, His plan, and how deeply He loves us.
You can see God in the beauty of nature and the perfection of the universe or seeing the miracle of life. But to direct us to God in this beauty, we need guidance and that is through the Bible.
You can see it as His love letters to us.
So why don’t we write love letters to those we love?
In this scripture, God’s creation is also an example of God’s love letter in Christ come Christians.
Think about it. Even Christians don’t read the Bible, so God sent us to be seen and heard in the world so that they may see God’s Word lived out in our lives. They see our hearts, intentions. When people see us, will they see God and be drawn to Him or be turned away?
Ignation compleation - using spiritual imagination to meet Jesus personally.
Imagine Christ is sending a love letter through you by writing His words on your heart. What did He write on your heart?
Ex. Love, listen, heal, empathy, prayerful.
Pastor Daniel’s words: He turned anxiety into peace. He turned stress into joy.
Questions:
What did you imagine Christ write on your heart as he sent you out as a love letter of God to the world?
Instead of being ones to say, “I go to church,” but live a life that truly lives intimately with Christ, who will be the ones to witness and notice your intimate walk with Christ? Family? Friends? Co-workers? Strangers?
