Spiritual Physics 4 – Aero-Physics Part 1
Isaiah 40:28-31
There are 4 different forces applied to an airplane. Gravity, air resistance, lift, and thrust.
Planes need lift to fly. How can we gain the force of lift? From wings. Because of air pressure, there is power of lift.
Where does the power of lift come from? Resistance. If you don’t have any resistance to air, the airplane can’t lift. This is a spiritual reaction. When we have a divine force applied on our life, we encounter an equal and opposite reaction. Without having resistance, it’s not possible for us to fly in the sky like an eagle. When we encounter this spiritual reaction and resistance, our attitude can be changed. We may think “you make my life hard” but when we experience spiritual resistance, we can be thankful because of this resistance we can fly.
Romans 5:3-5
We all want hope in Jesus Christ. Thrust = hope. We can’t wait for hope to just appear to us. There are steps to hope. Before hope we have to develop character. Before character comes endurance. And before endurance comes suffering, pain, difficulties, hardships (reaction). We have hope in Christ, that starts from suffering, pain, hardships in our life. We can be thankful for that because the suffering will produce hope. Then, according to aerodynamics the hardships will make us fly like an eagle. The way we look at it; our perspective can be changed. It’s not about what we go through, but our perspective when we go through it.
Pain, suffering, hardships are something we often try to avoid, but God wants us to go through suffering so we can eventually produce hope and fly in the sky like an eagle.
Be thankful in all circumstances. It is hard, but becomes easier when we understand why. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
If we really want to fly like an eagle, we have to know how to use the reaction and resistance we face. That is the key. Use the reaction and resistance in a wise way that will lead us to fly. Then we can be thankful.

Can you think of an example in your life when you were faced with hardships, and God was able to use that hardship to help you “fly”.
